Joy AND whimsy meets creative & strategy

If you asked me what I wanted to be growing up, I would’ve said a fairy.

Imagine my disappointment when I grew up and got a heavy-duty backpack with a laptop compartment instead of wings.

So I figured if I couldn’t be a fairy, I could be the kind of person who creates them. I started writing stories, painting characters, and, eventually, pushed my pastels aside and started opening Illustrator every day.

Now I look to culture, fill pages with research, and keep writing until I’ve got an idea that makes me feel something.

Still working on the wings. Will update LinkedIn if it happens.

Other things I’ve done along the way:

• Performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

• Spent a month in Brazil and am still learning Portuguese.

• At 17, I taught full classrooms of kids (who thought this was a good idea?)

• Curated the most delicious-sounding R&B playlists.

• Cut open a watermelon with only a plastic spoon.
